Privacy Policy
Stories are meant to be shared. Your personal information is not.
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how jrgiuliano.com — the home of 90 Before 90 by J.R. Giuliano — collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit this site. We believe in plain language, so we have written this the same way JR writes his stories: honestly and without unnecessary fuss.
What We Collect
When you visit this site, we collect certain information automatically through Google Analytics 4 (GA4): pages you visit, how long you spend reading, the general region you are in, and the type of device and browser you use. This data is anonymous — we cannot identify you personally from it. We use it only to understand which stories resonate with readers and how to make the site better.
If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your name and email address. That is all. We do not ask for anything else, and we do not sell or share it with anyone.
Cookies
This site uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — for two purposes: to make Google Analytics work, and to remember your preferences during a visit. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies that follow you across other websites.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. The stories will still be here waiting for you.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how readers find and engage with the site. Google Analytics collects anonymised data about your visit — such as which pages you read and how you arrived here — and sends it to Google's servers. Google's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data. You can learn more at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Newsletter
If you choose to join the newsletter, your name and email address are stored securely and used only to send you updates about new stories and occasional notes from JR. We will never share your information with third parties, and you can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any newsletter email with the word 'unsubscribe' or by contacting us directly.
Your Rights
You have the right to know what information we hold about you, to request that we correct or delete it, and to opt out of any data collection at any time. If you have signed up for the newsletter and would like your information removed, simply send a note to jr@jrgiuliano.com and we will take care of it promptly.
If you are in the European Union or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or the CCPA respectively. We honour those rights and will respond to any request within 30 days.
Third-Party Links
Some stories may include links to external websites — a record label, a historical archive, a place JR once worked. Once you leave jrgiuliano.com, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any site you visit.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it immediately.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever need to update this Privacy Policy, we will post the revised version here with a new 'Last Updated' date. We do not anticipate significant changes — this is a memoir site, not a data company.
